Following a Low GI diet has many positive benefits to your health and is also an excellent plan to follow if you want to lose weight easily too. Eating Low GI foods helps to keep your blood sugar stable and eliminates the need for unhealthy snacks as you will feel fuller for longer, so you can lose weight without really trying too hard.
Although it can be a bit difficult to maintain a low GI diet when eating out, it is not impossible. Just keep in mind, when studying the menu that you want to keep both the GI rating and the fat content as low as possible. Here are some tips in making healthy choices when eating out:

* Vegetables – either a vegetable-based main course or extra vegetables as a side dish instead of rice, chips or potatoes.

You can make tasty and healthy choices without feeling that you are depriving yourself of a treat, even if you don’t feel you can stick to all of the principles of a Low GI diet when eating out, at least make an effort to stick to as many as you possibly can to gain the most health benefits.
Just imagine, you won’t feel that awful stuffed and bloated feeling afterward that usually comes with eating far too much rich and unhealthy food. You’ll feel great.
